Update
Having done further benchmarks and analysis of the major infrastructural improvements we are planning to perform this weekend, we have updated the scheduled maintenance window to be between 18:00 and 00:00 on Saturday, 24 October. This now more accurately reflects expected duration.

Additionally, whilst the team are optimising for minimal downtime during this process, clients should expect and plan for the Root platform to be unavailable for the full duration of this maintenance window. This is to ensure stability of the platform throughout the process.

As a reminder, if you have whitelisted Root's static outbound IP addresses for your integrations, you will need to add the following new IP addresses to your configuration before the maintenance window begins:

- 13.244.205.167
- 13.244.229.86

Root will actively update our public status page with progress during the maintenance period. If you have any questions, please reach out to us on support@root.co.za.

We will be making major infrastructural improvements to the Root platform on Saturday, 24 October, between 18:00 and 21:00. To ensure the stability of the platform during this process, both the API and Dashboard will be inaccessible for up to 1 hour during this window. We are performing this maintenance during a period of low platform activity to ensure minimal disruption.

Any queued scheduled data exports, customer communications, or webhooks will be run as soon as the platform becomes available again.

Once the maintenance is complete, outbound requests from the Root platform will originate from a new set of static IP addresses. If you have whitelisted Root's static outbound IP addresses for your integrations, you will need to add the following new IP addresses to your configuration:

- 13.244.205.167
- 13.244.229.86

We suggest adding these IP addresses to your firewall configurations as soon as possible, to avoid any impact on integrations.
